Sad Lonely Driver
We felt like a ‘Sad Lonely Driver’ at 5:30 on this Sunday morning, so part of the fun of any hobby is the searching then the final collection of goods. Also you get to meet other enthusiasts of the hobby. So last year while hunting for parts of forum we found a lead on a Initial D seat back cover, which lead to them knowing a guy who had converted a Initial D2 cabinet into an Out Run 2 (when will this torture stop!). However this meant almost all the parts I would need to help the conversion could be picked up and collected in one stop.
So after some emails, I finally was able to get a parts list from Nick (the seller) as to what left over from the conversion and his prices.
- Two White Side Panels (One with artwork) – No Damage, but missing speakers
- Initial D 2 Seat Back
- Monitor Bezel with Instruction Sticker
- Complete Dashboard
- Card-Reader and Power-Supply
- Single Topper / Marquee
- Naomi 2 Board & CF Reader
I was able to get a couple of pictures, however the majority was buried in his garage so the condition and contents we had to take on faith. So after it seemed a series of unfortunate events after 11 months of the initial email we finally picked these up. I have to thank Nick in honestly for being in now rush to move these parts on and hold them for me for that time.
So after just over a 4 hour round-trip in the English countryside we collected all the parts listed above and a few extra’s, along with the Initial D 3 Marquee also included was 3 copies of the original Initial D 1 artwork (2 are damaged) but will be great to display.
